As I already mentioned, we headed to the Christmas tree farm to pick out a tree for my mom and dad first thing Friday morning. Originally, my parents said they weren't even putting up a tree this year since we wouldn't be at their house for Christmas, but apparently they changed their mind. Guess they didn't want to miss out on any of the Christmas fun!
I got a little taste of what it's going to be like trying to take pictures of more than one kid. It's hard enough to get a picture of Kate actually looking at the camera now, and it's going to be impossible to get two kids looking at the camera, and possibly even smiling. Pretty much decided that the above picture is just about as good as it's ever going to get.
The Christmas tree farm that we go to has lots of other things for kids to play around with, including farm equipment. Pretty sure this wasn't left out as a toy, but we figured it was fair game. Kate loved the big tractor...
Collins, not so much...
The donkey was a hit. After looking at trees, we came around the back side of the animal section. So of course we didn't see the big sign that said "Do not touch animals. They may bite." until the very end. My kid had been petting the donkey non-stop. Mom fail on that one. Glad nobody got bitten.
Kate is a big fan of "hot chock-it", so she was pretty pumped that they were giving it out. We filled up her sippy cup with the warm goodness, and she was ready to go.
And because we're country people, Kate apparently couldn't stay away from the tractor, so the kids got in a few more pretend "rides" before we had to leave.
What a great start to the Christmas season!
