Although that trip was pretty great, I wouldn't say it was my favorite vacation. My FAVORITE vacation was just last year, to Savannah, Georgia.
We only live a little over 4 hours away from Savannah, so it's not like it was some far-off destination for us. However, it was the first vacation that we took as a family of three, and it came at a time when I really needed a vacation! As any tax accountant would probably tell you, any vacation taken right after the April 15th deadline is a great vacation!
We ate dinner at Uncle Bubbas, and Kate enjoyed her own special meal.
Somebody got in the pool for the very first time. And, no, I'm not talking about Kevin.
We explored the city, and even took a trolley tour.
But the best part was just spending time with each other and enjoying our family of 3. Our Savannah vacation was quick (just 3 days, 2 of which were travel days). I'm sure most people wouldn't even think it was anything special, but to me it was. Some vacations are just ones you will remember for forever, and this was one of mine.
What was YOUR favorite vacation? Are there any places that we just HAVE to visit?
Hi! I'm stopping by from Kelly's Korner. I love Savannah. I'm originally from the Atlanta area, so I spent a lot of time from my childhood in Savannah! And I work at a CPA firm too!

I love Savannah! I liked Charleston, SC a lot too! We used to go to Myrtle every summer and took day trips to these places! My favorite vacation ever was Cancun and I also love Cali!
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Savannah but have always wanted to go! :) We are lucky to live near the coast! :) One of my favorite trips was to Santa Fe, NM!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to visit Savannah, and I'm not even sure why! I used to live in Mississippi and miss the South very much - esp. the food and the people. I live in Iowa now and have found myself going on Trip Advisor to see how much it would cost for my husband and I to visit there. Maybe one day!

ReplyDeleteSavannah is a great place to visit. I loved going to Paula Deen's restaurant and meeting her two boys (much more handsome in person). I have been all over the world, I am a flight attendant and travel everywhere. One of my favorite places to visit is in the US...Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
